Keeping Your Wiser Heating Running Smoothly – And How We’re Here to Help

Some users report having deleted schedules reappear when attempting to take manual control of one of their heating zones. We're here to explain what's going on when deleted schedules reappear, and simple tips to stop this from happening, and make taking manual control easier as summer lands in the UK.

Watch the how-to video now to learn how to fix issues surrounding deleted Wiser heating schedules reappearing:

Why Do Deleted Schedules Come Back?

In many cases, schedules can reappear if they've been deleted by a user attempting to switch to manual heating control.

Because using heating schedules that suit your lifestyle is the most efficient way to heat your home, the Wiser Home app automatically applies default schedules to all zones in the system. You can then choose whether or not you wish this zone to follow a schedule using the 'Follow schedule' toggle in the top right of your zone's control view, and you can personalise the setpoints and timings as you wish.

Many users are switching to manual control as outside temperatures rise, but take care not to fall into the trap of deleting all of a zone's scheduled events, or the app will reinstate the default schedules automatically.

The key advice is to:

  • Use tailored schedules for each zone that suits your lifestyle to maximise efficiency.
  • Avoid deleting all scheduled events at once, or the default schedules will reappear.
  • If you want to take manual control of a zone, simply switch off the schedule using the 'Follow schedule' toggle.

These simple steps help keep your heating running exactly as you intend - efficiently and without surprises.
