What is Matter?
Matter is a smart home standard that helps devices from different brands work together seamlessly. It allows compatible products to connect through popular smart home platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
What is a Matter Bridge?
A Matter Bridge connects devices that don't use Matter directly to a Matter-compatible smart home ecosystem. The Wiser Hub 2nd Generation acts as a Matter Bridge, bringing your Wiser Zigbee® devices into the Matter network.
What devices can I connect through the Wiser Matter Bridge?

Do I need to replace my existing Wiser devices?
No. If you have a Wiser Hub 2nd Generation and compatible Wiser Zigbee® devices, you can continue using your existing products and connect them to supported Matter ecosystems.
Do I need a Matter Controller?
Yes. A Matter Controller is required to manage and automate devices within a Matter ecosystem. Examples include:
Apple HomePod or Apple TV 4K
Google Nest Hub or Nest Hub Max
Compatible Amazon Echo devices
Many customers already own a suitable Matter Controller.
Will Wiser still work in the Wiser App?
Yes. The Wiser App remains the primary way to access Wiser's advanced heating and energy management features, while Matter provides additional control through compatible third-party smart home platforms.
